The Rarest F300 Omega 60m Seamaster Vintage Diver, 198.0054 Speedmaster 125 Case

  

1 x Omega Seamaster 60m Diver Chronometer. Omega Cal 1250 Bulova base 12 jewel F300Hz. Serial 36929425 (Circa 1973 using Maddox database). Model 198.0054 398.0824. You just don't see these come up for sale.

This is possibly the rarest Seamaster Diver? The F300 Seamaster 60m Chronometer. If you have got this far then you probably know all about vintage F300 Omegas but here's some details below.

Case is the same type as the speedmaster 125, it's very chunky and has the same integrated bar bracelet. The Omega crown is screw down of course. Comes with two bidirectional bezels, the bakelite original and another one in slightly better condition that I fitted instead. These bezels by the way are the same as on the Cosmic 2000 diver, and the 1250 movement is in many Omega f300 dress watches. Bracelet is good for a 7 1/2" to 8" wrist.

New Renata 344 battery fitted today (02/07/22) It did not need one but as they last just over a year in the cal 1250 I wanted to make it ready for sale. Purely as some people want, expect or even assume everything will be perfect and the date wheel issue detailed below. Like many (lets face it, all) F300's it has an issue with the (original) plastic date wheel not changing, on some days you need to pull the crown out and change it manually using the quickset. This is a very common item to change at service, but you probably already knew that.

I have enjoyed owning and wearing this watch in the condition described above and will continue to do so if it does not sell. I have taken the best pictures I can in bright light to show all marks, please not the first two pictures in normal light show how it looks on the wrist. I'm not a business or a collector But I wish I still had every watch I've owned! The insured and tracked post is free to you. All used watches will require future servicing to keep running well and need a pressure test before getting wet. Words like 300m/ Chronometer etc on the dial and timekeeping expectations are from when the watch was new and can only be claimed now if under a recent service guarantee and pressure test. A used watch will have marks from age. No cash payments, no doorstep transfers etc again just no weird stuff! When the item ends I don't mindlessly pack it and post it.
