Because I don't just say it has been serviced, IT REALLY HAS and you have 14 days to return the watch should you decide it's not for you. The Bulova Accutron wristwatch was the first completely electronic (without a balance wheel) wristwatch to come to market back in the year 1960.

The Spaceview was never intended for the public marketplace. It was originally made for jewelers and watch sellers alike to show off the revolutionary electronic tuning fork movement to prospective buyers. Bulova was so proud of its accomplishment that they thought customers would like to see the green tuning fork movement and how right they were! So they made a crystal with the hour and minute track for customers to be able to read the time like a regular watch of the period. Without realizing it Joseph Bulova had created an absolute sensation!

So the space view was born! Many of these still exist today.

The first Accutrons to leave the Bulova factory were made in solid gold. The first "spaceviews" that left the factory as a "spaceview" were in stainless steel and with chapter rings.

Stainless steel case in lovely condition. These Accutron stainless steel cases are very hard wearing and this one is a testament to the Bulova company's dedication to the quality and hard wearing design of their watches.

This watch is in excellent condition having undergone a complete dis-assembly, service, ultrasonic cleaning, and sanitation of the case and then gently polished, put back together and it is ready for you to wear. The watch case measures 35mm in diameter by 40mm from the top lug tip to bottom lug tip. The 214 tuning fork 17 jewel movement is very, very clean. It has been serviced by an Accutron specialist.

All vital friction points have been lubricated with the correct oils. The movement was phased and timed using the correct Bulova timing equipment and is very accurate.

The watch is fitted with a stainless steel bracelet which really looks great! Also included is a green leather watch band just in case you want a change. It really matches the green movement.

The watch will come with a gift/watch box. Perfect for giving this watch as a gift, a birthday or for just keeping your new favorite Accutron Spaceview watch in when it isn't being worn. Also included is an extra battery, for when the existing battery runs out. They are very easy to replace by unscrewing the battery hatch cover with a dime. Taking out the old battery and then putting in the new battery. Replace the battery hatch cover and screw it down tight. Super easy to do and no need for a trip to the jewelers. This is a lovely 53-year-old timepiece that is in excellent running serviced condition.

Keep it in the box when it's not in use it will last you another 53 years with your gentle care and will be ready to be handed down to the next generation of your kids and their kids.
