Uses a 28.6mm clamp front derailleur (no braze-on for that). Columbus Aelle tubing for taller strong riders, sprinters.
Aelle is much more rigid than Columbus SL, making it ideal for larger frames and the stronger or heavier riders: it reduces bottom-bracket flex/sway when accelerating, sprinting or climbing. Dropouts have the name Daccordi in them, front and rear, under the chrome, confirming the bike's authenticity. The dropouts look the same as the Campagnolo and Gipiemme dropout design. It appears chrome plating under the paint, as witnessed by the chromed fork and portions of the rear triangle (chainstay and rear dropouts), and an area underneath the top tube, just in front of the seat tube, where a patch of paint is worn off and chrome is showing underneath... But I cannot confirm the extent of the chrome coverage on the entire frame.
But for sure, what is there increases the durability and weather-resistance of the frameset. There are no dents, but a few scuffs and scratches here and there, as is normal for an 80s racing bike. Some of the Daccordi label letters are scrunched and hanging off (left side), probably from a bike stand clamp would be my best guess (2 on the seat tube and 2 on the downtube).Made in Italy, genuine original. They are horrendously-expensive from Canada Post. The price includes me taking on about half the cost already.
